While messing around Ocing ie bumping fsb,cpu voltage, mem.voltage, multiplier ,and with all the rebooting to go with it. I started experiencing several different errors while trying to reboot , GPF ,missing files and just blank screens with the hd running. I tried replacing the listed files , running XP?s recovery console , repair install , even reformatting and reinstall xp (it never completed) .
Replaced HD ?no help , pulled nic card and 1 stick mem. system boots and xp install completes, replace nic- get GPF on reboot ,I remove nic ?reboot fine- replace other stick mem- missing files error on reboot- remove mem- boot fine . I then swap known good nic and get good boot and network setup starts ? reboot after and blank screen. I proceed to swap mem with known working with mixed results and no network with either card. now boots intermittently with 1 stick mem , never with nic.

Any ideas ? Trashed mobo,PS,-floppy or case screws?????

CPU's generally work or don't.

I would say hard drive, but you've done that...

Mobo might be toast. If you could try another power supply just to rule that out... it would help.

Maybe a bad IDE cable?

Overall sounds like bad mobo tho I think because of the randomness of your problems even with known good components.

I would:

Swap the IDE cable to a known good one, and try to install again. If you get the same problems the mobo is probably hooped IMO.
