Ok I have a Q6600 G0 B stepping currently set to 3.4GHZ (says 3401.2) and 8gb Gskill 1066 DDR2 I have tried quite a few times to even get it to Post at 3.2 and above and finally the other day I got it to post and actually run Prime for 19 hrs until Core 3 and 4 had Fatal Errors.

Cpu ran 58-61C constant on all 4 core, i have a Tuniq Tower and ran the fan at max speed while priming.

Here are my Bios settings for my 750i FTW:
Vcore:1.475 (1.45 in windows and Everest)
CPU FSB: 1.40
Mem: 2.05 ( i have 8GB Gskill running 945Mhz)
nForce SPP: 1.5
NF200: 1.45

I got the FATAL Error, rounding error etc... on core 3 and 4 after 19hrs 41 min and 19hrs 4 minutes on core 3.

Any input as to what I might change would be appreciated. Thanks

Is that small FFT or large FFT for your prime95 run?

If the error is small FFT then it suggests Vcore needs one more notch up in the BIOS.

If the error is large FFT then it suggest the Vdimm/NB/FSB voltages needs one more notch up in the BIOS.

If it is from Blend setting in Prime95 then redo the prime test and set it to either small or large FFT so you can isolate the likely hardware giving rise to the instability.

that was Blend I believe. I will try each test seperately now and then see if I can figure it out. Thanks IDC

Oh and I also just ran Super PI in various tests and on 32M mode I'd get the Close Program WIndow and not responding. It passed 1M-8M just fine tho. I don't know if that test counts much or not.

I have no experience with that motherboard or chipset. All of mine use Intel chipsets. Idontcare is better at these.

Thanks man. I do remember the first time I set my CPU to 3ghz with all stock settings, it wasnt stable, All I did was raise the FSB V up one notch to 1.25 and that made all the difference. Ran 3 ghz for 3 months no problems whatsoever.

OCCT Version 3.0 just detected error on Core 2. Ill bump the Vcore up a notch and test again. Ram tested fine.
