I'm thinking about investing in a nice pair of headphones for my computer. I was interested in those bose noise cancelling headphones. My brother says those noise cancelling headphones give you a headache or something because of the noise cancellation. Anyone out there have a set of noise cancelling headphones? Is it worth the extra money to get a pair or should I just buy a set of regular studio moniter headphones?

I've got some sennheiser eh2200. They are closed cans, not noise cancelling. Had them for a couple of years, very solid headphones.

couldn't link the exact page because of how their site is setup. They're in the closed headphones for musicians section.

I got them for 75. Price has only dropped 6 bucks in 2+ years. http://www.headphone.com/layout.php?topicID=3&subTopicID=26&productID=0020080022 That's a good place to learn more about headphones. great informational type place.

Unless you've got a lot of noise going on around you I'd say go with regular headphones. I recommend Senn 580 or 600s

Your inquiries are best served by searching the forums at head-fi.org where they discuss all things related to headphones. An alternate forum is headwize.com but it gets less traffic then the former.

I suggest you go to circuit city, best buy or ultimate electronics and get yourself a pair of sony or panasonic headphones that cost less than $30. Do well for my sound blaster live card :) and saved lots of moneyyyy.
