Does anyone know of any HDMI supporting PC LCD displays that are in the $200-300 range or of any that are coming out in the next few months?

I was looking on Newegg and was only able to find one for about $350.... All others I have found are several hundred more. Are HDMI displays for PC just not really produced? Newegg only has 6 HDMI PC displays.

What are you planning on hooking up?

HDMI can be adapted to DVI if you have a source with HDMI.

Well is your monitor going to have speakers? (that can pull audio off the HDMI input)

I was looking for one with speakers and an audio line OUT jack that I could loop back to my X-fi and then use my real speakers. I found one on HDMI monitor with audio out on Newegg for about 350. Was wondering if more of a selection was out in the market though or if any new products were coming out.

I would assume the monitor would do a pretty crappy job of converting to analog from the HDMI input if that's what it's doing.

You'd probably be better off just going from the audio output of the PS3 straight to the X-Fi's input.

What kind of speakers do you have?

I have some JBL speakers connected to my Xfi. Could you do that though? I mean I thought the PS3 when using HDMI only put sound out through the HDMI port? Would the digital optical out port still work?

I haven't been paying attention to the gaming systems too much. Yet another thing Sony managed to fvck up if they disable the other audio outputs when HDMI is in use.

Is it just a 2.0 / 2.1 set of JBLs?

Does your X-Fi have a digital optical input?
