Hi, i don't know why but my computer still FREEZE TOO OFTEN. Everytime i browse internet or playing games which put some load to the cpu ( i think ), the computer will freeezed up. The mouse just stay there, can't move anything, can't click anything but RESTART this damn thing.

I tried to swap the memory, still not helping. i even try to use another hard drive, still like that.

My setup: pII/450, asus p2b-s (onboard scsi), win me, ide hd, scsi hd, rage fury max, soundblaster live, tv tuners.

There is NO conflict whatsoever on the hardware. Everything run flawlessly at the beginning but as soon as i put some load to the cpu, it will freeze up...

Please help me since i really really hate to restart, it will make me wait for the scandisk bla bla bla.

Any helps are really really appreciated. Thank you

ALfred

nope, as matter of fact, i only have internet connection sharing, msn messenger, msn internet access, and 7 basic items ( i don't know what it's for ) and of course the windows of my browser...i get this info by pressing ctrl+alt+del

I know it will sound like a recruiting ploy, but try running RC5 with nothing else going to see if your CPU heats up and then freezes. If not, then you can begin to suspect you have a video driver problem or something software related. It would also be helpful to know if this problem occurred suddenly, like after installing a game or doing a MS update, or if the problem has gradually been getting worse.

Hi, since this mobo doesn't support temp probe, it only has 1 temp and shows as board temp 35C...I tried to REFORMAT the HD and install the windows ME from scratch with only few software installed, like msn connection and video driver (ati) and pinnacle tv tuner software with also games the sims...
