any hardcore Gateway-Laptop-model-name geek?

I am recently in the market for a laptop and checked out Gateway's website for its model lineup.
Among the list the 400 series did not show up while the other models' pricing are not as competitive as other like Dell and Compaq. I checked with Fatwallet and it gave me a link the Gateway 400VSP prodcut page and its price is right on par or even better than the competitors.
I am wondering why Gateway would "Hide" this model from its mainstream lineup.

Well, sometimes we find different things. Gateway has a drop down menu and the 400 series is listed.

The 450XL is their current top model and it has been getting outstanding reviews. I have a Solo 9300 CX that is now about 3 years old. It has been an outstanding performer - I have had it with me all over the world and it has never failed. It has never shown a BSOD or locked up. I would definitely buy another Gateway.
