Any Hams around?

I'm looking at getting into the hobby. I've contacted a couple local hams and they're going to school me and get me ready for the fcc exams. But, I'm curious if anyone can recommend a good sub $100 HT 2m radio.

Can you tell me anything about this one?

well i might have advice if you were buying a ham radio and not a walkie talkie that happens to be in the 2m band 😛

Interesting. They look like a knock-off of the Vertex (Yaesu) handheld.

I don't know anything about them. Personally, I'd stick to a name brand like Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu, or Alinco.
