I'm all pistoled out - I've got probably a dozen of them that I dont shoot much anymore.

Rifles/Shotguns - I hate longarms, they're too much of a pain in the butt to lug around and take up too much space. I've got an old remingon 30.06, rem 1100 and a nice benelli M1 that I dont shoot much anymore.

I've got a budget of about $7000, I'm thinking about buying a registered reciever Vector uzi or saving up for a fleming HK sear.

Anyone else around here like guns as much as I do?

The only things I've fired were a Ruger 9mm and some silenced sniper rifle my brother had for a while.

I don't know if you could call me a "gun nut" or even an enthusiast persay, but I do carry everyday.

I've had about three AR's and I've got to say that I'm not too fond of a rifle that ***t's where it eats. They're such a pain in the butt to clean. I've long since sold all my AR's partly to upgrade other parts of my collection. They're not as exotic as I'd like.

Plus ACOG"s are expensive as hell, it costs $300 to recharge the sights a number of years down the road, and I cant justify buying a sight system that will see little if any uses over the years in the enviroment it was designed for.

Randalls or Emersons? I love both.

You seem like a real knife guy. Check the forum in my sig. Guys there are mostly into Microtech, Dalton, and other automatics but we have some Randall guys too. I really want a Smithsonian Randall but we are talking $5 to 6 bills and a 3 year wait! :D

By the way, I would probably be considered a gun nut by most here. I have Glock, Sig Sauer, and S&W pistols, and a couple shot guns. I lost my only rifle in a fire and have been eyeballing a Remington 700 but my good friend keeps trying to talk me into an AR-15 and I am leaning that way, lol.

My blades are all from other countries, some hand-made by people who sell their wares in markets you've only seen in the movies. They are not the shiny all-looks blades I see people posting pics of in your forums. As Crocodile Dundee would say, "This is a real knife".

Well, I have some kukri's from Nepal... that is fairly exotic. I have a custom knife being made by a guy in Argentina who is a freaking unbelieavable artist.

I also have this Bowie which I think Crocodile Dundee would approve of.

I think this is the point where you need to put up or shut up about your "exotic" knives. ;)

I welcome you to come tell the knife collectors at my forums that their knives are "all looks". Have you not heard of barrel tests? (this is stabbing a knife repeatedly into a barrel to prove it's toughness) I think you speak from ignorance, grasshoppa.

That's a fine bowie. But have you ever stabbed anyone with it? My blades have tasted blood, not wood.

Actually, I did cut myself polishing that damascus blade, lol... it is a Mike Wilson custom and it came with a terribly dark over-etched blade finish... I did all the polishing by hand to give it that beautiful look and even Mike asked me how I did it because he thought I did a great job of really making it special.

I really don't think knives equal e-penis because this is a "big" favorite. cool

The problem DMT is nothing there is real upper echelon (Barring the Gold Cup!!). Its all just run of the mill stuff. Good guns, but why buy 20 average things when you can score 5 nice ones?
For example, you've had what, 15 pistols or so? (I didnt count)
Smack down the time and wait to get something elite. A Valtro 1911. There supposed to be considered the cats meow of pistols. Then snag 1 or 2 others. The Kimber isnt bad either, but I dont care for the feel quite as much as a S&W 1911. Either way, a Valtro and Les Bauer or Dan Wesson.
Valtro

Same with the other guns. Get a HIGh end AR-15. I believe theres a Beaur who makes AR's too but I cant recall right off (Its early, my brain is dead)

Personally, if it was me with a good chunk of money I'd snag a Shiloh Sharps 45-70. Yep, an old BP gun. The fit, finish and quality is bar none the best though, and its a true collectors piece that'll outshot most other guns (It just smacks around the .308 in terms of penetration) I've heard the wait time is down to around a year or so, same with the Valtro's I believe. To sit next to the Shiloh I'd probably get a true H&K G3 as well. I couldnt justify spending the 5 or 6 grand for a FA Uzi, I think Uzi's are kinda trashy guns. IF I get a FA weapon I'll go all out and get the AR or AK or MP5 or some such.
Another option would be a Sig 550. Personally, I like the sniper variant but good luck getting one. Lets just say IF you can find one, your budget wouldnt cover it.
