Any guilty feelings on liking an unpopular car?

I like the looks of the 2nd gen Ford Probe.
I hate the name of it.
I hate the fact it was supposed to be the Mustang replacement.

But I love the looks of it. Clean design, holds well to this day.

I also like the early 90's Honda Accord. Very vanilla, but very purposeful and thought out. The driver's view is awesome.

Also, I like the new Fit's and Fiesta's.

I dare you to name your guilty thoughts.

I like the Suzuki SX4 even though everyone at work hates them. Don't know why. Yeah, they're small. They drive nice though, handle well. CVT and the 2.0L engine gives it plenty of power. Fairly comfortable on the inside. Never had quality issues with them. My customers don't mind it.

No guilt here. I'm sure my car is unpopular due to the "green" trend but they can blow me. I don't care about the opinion of groups of people who drive around with novacaine in their skulls and who don't have the mental capacity to breath and drive at the same time.

Chevy S-10 is popular and I hate it. Ditto H2 and H3.

V6 Rav4 is unpopular and I love it. Lotsa storage, power, handles nicely.

I have zero guilt about my 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD. So many people hate it because of the grille but I find it pretty aggressive looking and it's unlike anything else on the road. It's also pretty rare around where I live so I'm constantly getting comments on it.

Not to mention the performance and technology packaged in to it. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

For clarification on how much people dislike the design of the car.

I saw one with the chrome grill blacked out to match the black paint of the car.
I must say I rather liked it.

Indians are hardwired to vehemently defend to the death anything Honda/Toyota makes no matter how shitty/overpriced/ugly/useless it is. So you have an excuse.

No they don't. I defend Bimmers out the ying yang.

As a matter of fact, I think anything Honda/Toyota made today is nothing short of driver hell.

Only thing Honda/Toyota I consider worth a second look is an NSX or Supra.

Then you are like me and fall into the minority, lol. I'm strictly a Ford/Jeep/VW shop.

The poor mans german car. 😛

Actually, I quite like Fords offerings. They're certainly headed in the right direction.

Now, if only they had a 5.0 EcoBoost based RWD platform. :sneaky:

I'm in love with my Grand Marquis.

It's probably universally disliked for it's boat-like size and driving characteristics but that's what I enjoy about it. Plus I can set the cruise control at the speed limit and people still get out of the way on the highway. 22-29 mpg while cruising to the sound of a V8 Ford breathing through Magnaflows is tough to beat too.

I am not Indian. And I can honestly see why a lot of people are turned off by he new design of Acura's. I'm just not one of them and I really could not care less what people think of them. To each his own.

I hardly consider that defending it to the death. 😀

One of my best friends owns a 2010 Honda Accord and I've ridden in it for extended periods of time and found nothing at all to dislike about it. I'm not crazy about the exterior styling but it is a decent car.

I'd still be driving mine if it hadn't been totalled a few years back. My current boat is an 87 Caprice.

I'll chime in and say I have no real complaints about my 2010 TL as well. There are some rattle problems that I'm trying to get fixed and I had some initial wheel balance issues when I first got the car. However, its a pretty good balance of car while still having room for tall people in the back.
