So what are the best case fans in terms of quiet/performance ratio? Made by which brand?

Definately Nexus. But there are other fans that are just as good but cheaper, such as Yate-Loon (Nexus usually rebadges certain YL) and CoolerMaster.

The 74GB Raptor was known to be one of the quieter drives around, but I have read that the 150GB is a little bit louder. I also don't think this will be a problem.

The one feature that the P150 has that most other cases don't have is a built-in suspended HDD system. This can make a quiet system silent.

You definately should choose a new motherboard that doesn't have an NB fan if you want quiet. You don't seem to want to replace it, but there are many other passive NB motherboard options.

Get something like the Asus Extreme N7800GT TOP SILENT/2DHTV video card if you don't want to replace your video card cooler. Also, doesn't eVGA let you replace your cooler without voiding your warranty? (someone please correct me on this)
I think you're right about this one...

Wrong. eVGA covers everything on the card up to the volt mods. Also that pc will be really quiet. Wouldn't worry about that much, with the Nexus fans an all...

Honestly, I don't think the panels on the P150 do much. If you're expecting something like Dynamat you'll be sorely disappointed. It's just some stiff plastic-like material.

Get some Zalman fanmates. Your fans will still be too "loud" running full speed ;)

But nice setup overall.

I'll buy a 120mm and 92mm Nexus for the case. Perhaps an XP-90 with a 92mm Nexus as well. Still don't think I'll mess with the NB or vid fans though. Those passive NB solutions don't seem to cut it for the NF4 from what I read at NE.

Edit: But I do still like the Chenming based on the two reasons, 1) It doesn't come with a POS PS, and 2) It has no front audio ports.

Antec P150 is an awesome case (quiet and cool) and being that the HDD will be one of the loudest parts in that setup, the suspended drive holders in the P150 will be great.

I'd stay with the AC Freezer, some guy over at XS did a review on it, and it is much cooler the XP-90 (it's very quiet too).

Enermax make amazing powersupplies, and the Liberty series have 120 mm fans (I think) so it should be silent.

That computer looks very nice, enjoy the silence!

Plus you can hide the Fanmate inside the case. Only drawback is that you have to open up the case each time you want to adjust the fan.

I also like your choice of HD. The WD are very quiet. I recently purchased the Seagate SATA 300gb only because it was $100 after MIR @ Fry's. But the seek is noisier than what I am used to with the WDs.

Now you will have to get matching keyboard, mouse, and monitor to go along with that sleek case.

I'm not familiar with other motherboards, but my AN8 SLI has this "uGuru" applet that lets you control the fans and set the overclock. You even have the choice of 3 custom presets. For example, I boot up at my standard stable overclock of 2.5 ghz, I have 1 preset at the same speed but with the fans on silent (my ear ringing is as loud as the system running), 1 preset for gaming at 2.6 ghz (only 8 hours Prime 95 stable) with fans running full speed (intake/exhaust 900 RPMs and Arctic Freezer 64 2200 RPM) which is still very quiet. And finally a quick cool down mode (fans spinning at same speed as my 2.6 mode) but with the CPU running at 2 ghz. I also have "Cool and Quiet" disabled.

I dunno about matching. I have a sleek, laptop-like, aluminum/black keyboard, a DELL FP2001 LCD, and will be getting a Logitech G5 mouse.

Edit: Since I am sure you've seen a Logitech G5 and DELL FP2001, here is the keyboard (6200U).
