Any good XBox 360 ATV games?

I have an urge to get an ATV based game (4 wheelers known as quads). I want something fun that is fairly realistic. Maybe a bit cartoonish (like turbo boost type stuff), but pretty real.

And this will be for single player gaming. So, rate it on that.

So, is there anything good?


AS an aside: Remember Wave Race for the N-64? Man, that was the best racing game ever!
 
Pure is far from a sim-like game, but your only other decent option is ATV vs. MX Unleashed, and IMO Pure blows it away in fun.
Customize your quad, fantastic graphics/style, and it really reminded me of those old crazy fun racing games on N64 and older systems.
Its gotta be a top five racing game on 360, was rated racing game of the year or something by lots of sites if I recall. I loved it!
 
I want something fun, with realistic physics. Customization is OK, but not if it is alot of tuning in fine grain detail. Just simple things like how Forza handles things.

RedRooster. Were you referring to Pure or ATV vs MX Unleahsed when you said it reminded you of old N64 games?
 
Pure was a ton of fun. Very arcadey but, as mentioned, you really have to try hard not to enjoy it.

I've actually got a copy I'm trying to sell off if you wanna give it a try. Time to lighten up the game library.
 
i've been waiting to find Pure in the bargain bin. i really liked the demo.

i don't think anyone is going to produce a ATV sim. i don't think the market is there. it's much more fun to get unrealistic big air .. alot like the tony hawk series wasn't really skateboarding.
 
Regarding Pure.

Are the tricks easy?
Simple combinations or complicated combos?

How are they used in the game? What is the benefit of doing tricks?
 
Tricks are very simple in Pure. Tricks give you a boost (similar to the SSX games) and you have teirs of tricks that you can reach. Bigger tricks require you to have a bigger boost level.

Also, you can upgrade your ATV but it's a very simple system. Different engine classes, different part classes, and atv's built for tricks, speed, or handling.
 
I bought Pure today.

It is awesome. Exactly what I wanted.

In terms of customizing vehicles, it is on par with Forza.

In terms of "tricks", they are easy to pull off. No complicated keypad movements needed.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A simple fun game.
