I have many questions.

1. When I burn a VCD from an MPEG vidio via Nero, will it run on VCD player? I have tried once but failed.

2. When I burn an audio CD from an MP3 cd , will it run on an audio CD player?

3. Are there any free downloadable utilities to convert MPEG into VCD format?

3. WMP9 doesn't seem to run MPEG vidio playlist. One has to run individual tracks manually. Is the playlist feature not supported for MPEG in WMP9?

Will somebody be so kind to enlighten me? Thanks in ADV.

1. First of all... mpeg = vcd and mpeg2 = svcd. If you choose to make a vcd in nero it should burn and be playable in many standalone dvd players. However, not all dvd players have the vcd codec to decode the video... check your player.

2. If you choose to make an audio cd (not data) then nero will decompress the mp3 files and burn them as wav files so that the audio cd will play in any standalone cd player.

3. mpeg is vcd... however if it isn't a vcd 2.0 complaint mpeg you can used programs such as TMpgEnc to convert the files.

If I didn't answer any of your questions sufficiently go check out vcdhelper.com and vcdhelp.com

Thanks a million Mallow

I asked the wmp question about MPEG because i tried to make a playlist of vidio songs but the panel where I am supposed to select the format doesn't have MPEG in the given list and I tried selecting all the given options one by one but none of them made the list of my vidio songs appear in the panel.

Now you know exactly what my problem is.
Will you be so kind to explain because human help cannot be replaced by the menu driven one available at help sites.
