Good Lord does this software that it came with suck. Not only is it a pain to install, but it crashed right in the middle of the Super Bowl. :|

Is there some really high-quality TV software out there? It needs to be able to record on a schedule, of course.

Thanks.

I don't know if that's what your looking for, but the link is frequently posted in tvtuner threads, so you might want to check it out. I don't know if it's actually software or just scheduling stuff.

SageTV and MCE 2005 also support PVR250, and are excellent but somewhat expensive. I've used both (with a similar ATI eHome Wonder card) I prefer MCE because it seamlessly supports my HDTV card as well. Its also more family friendly and more stable on my rigs. SageTV has more configuration options and a big user base, its more of a tinkering option between the two, and cheaper (MCE is an OS+ PVR Frontend)

I'd recommend either highly, the both have decent EPG's and excellent PVR functionality...worth every penney IMO.

I have a PVR-250 and I use Sage TV. I find that it's very easy to use and provides great recording quality. It's not free, but if you don't paying for a good program then I would highly recommend it.
