While running ad-aware I found a program called btiein, ad-aware was unable to remove it.
I then went into the registry and found it under local machine, software and again attempted to remove it and got an error, did some reaserch and found out that you have to be under the account that created and installed the file to remove it, ....problem that account is no longer on the computer.....went back to the file in the registry, right clicked on it went to permissions ancd gave my self full access to it and I still can not remove it!!
I give up and need help....anybody?

Yes I have, Spysweepr and Spy-bot search and destroy, neither even
I have tried safe mode, and windows recovery has been turned off. I don't want to recover toa previous point because Im positive it will be infeasted with viruses and I am down to the last removal right now.

found it my self thanks for nothing!

anyway here it is if anyone else needs it.

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

Reboot the computer to Safe Mode (Press F8 when Windows starts) and log in using Administrator.

Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.

Navigate to and delete the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {63B78BC1-A711-4D46-AD2F-C581AC420D41}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Browser Helper Objects \ {63B78BC1-A711-4D46-AD2F-C581AC420D41}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\BTiein

Exit Registry Editor.

Reboot the computer.

Open Windows Explorer, search for and delete the file btiein.dll ( which may reside in %WinDir%/System32, %WinDir%/System, and/or %Windir%/downloaded program files).

What a jerk. This board is filled with some of THE most knowledgable people I have ever seen, and you will always get good information from people here if you are respectable.

Please, don't ever post here again.

Could have been sarcastic too. Most of the time, if someone says this and really means it, the post will say simply, "Thanks for nothing," and that'll be it. But this poster detailed the steps needed to remove the threat. Not many aggravated people take the time to do that after effectively telling everyone to go screw themselves.

^^Agreed.

I read that as sarcastic too. I found the ditch windows comment by another poster in this thread to be more offensive.

I am one hell of a sarcastic bastard in real life. That comment was also intended to be sarcastic.
