Any good tank sims?

I'm looking for a good tank level tank sim. That is to say...not a strategy game where I command a bunch of tanks. But rather a game where I control a single tank. Anything like that out there? Will it work with Win2k?

Battlefield 1942 is too arcadish, but Operation Flashpoint is a good one to try. It has the same concept as BF 1942 where you are a foot soldier but can can drive, or fly any vehicle you come across in the game.

operation flashpoint, though unfortunately not that many tank missions (not that there isnt sometimes oppertunity to nick one as a footsoldier 😉) in the main game, perhaps theres more in the addons that come with the game now (if you buy GOTY edition anyway). Last i was playing it though there was a very big and active custom map scene - probably because the way it works you can make very impressive, quality levels using the games' huge islands, just by placing the bad guys and scripting.
