Going up for a week real soon, and I want to see if there are some good spots. Particularly in the south of Seattle or the surrounding towns. Kent area. Recommend me one! 🙂

Yeah, "Nikko" at the Westin has all you can eat sushi at lunch. It's a limited selection for the all you can eat stuff (the basics; maguro, seattle roll, california roll, spicy tuna, etc.), and you pay ala carte for the expensive stuff (chu toro, etc.). I think the all you can eat lunch was $20 (I haven't been there in a while).

Doing it as we speak, actually. Asking one of my residents if she can sleep in their cluster.

I might go there myself. I'm not a huge afficiando, but it is a nice delicacy from time to time.

Kent, Des Moines, Renton, Auburn... that general area... yeah, I can't consciously think of any in the area, but I'll ask my folks and see if they know of any.

sorry... i have to admit i'm not a huge fan of sushi. the raw fish part just gets me.... i eat the non-raw fish ones though. mm.... the only place i've been to around here is todai, but i'm told it wasn't very good (tasted fine to me...)

i refuse to eat anywhere with the word SUSHI in it's name. All my experiences of places like these have been bad.

Tojo's is nice but frickin' expensive. For my money my fave Japanese restaurant with the best combo of price/quality/ambience is ...

Octopus' Garden - Sada's place on ... what the heck is that street, can't remember for the life of me, ahhh Cornwall Avenue and Walnut right next to the convenience store.

Awesome place with some real creativity with their offerings. Some authentic Japanese Bistro food straight from Japan too for those adventurous souls who go for the authentic stuff. Of course i'm biased because i've been going there for years. Have the t shirt too.

Why on Earth are you visiting Kent? This place makes Uranus look like a vacation spot. Stay awaaaaay. 😀

There are probably a few decent places over the hill in Federal Way, GroundZero used to live there he could tell you. I just buy it from the Trader Joe's. 🙂
