What part of reality don't you live in? Apparently it's not the United States where virtually *every* college has college algebra. Very few colleges require all students to take Calculus (kudos to Notre Dame for being one of them.) And while some colleges don't require mathematics for all majors, I was blown away to discover that Cornell doesn't require mathematics for at least one of their majors.
