mechBgon from GH has an excellent guide for first timers putting a rig togather .... reading it will give n00bs some insight

THIS helped me when i built my first ever computer, without any help. it was just that, anandtech's hardware forum, and a little bit of tomshardware.com

My Company takes the Certifications seriously. they recognize that while a lot of people just get the paper, some people can actually put that paper to practical use.
