Any good sites for downloading TV shows?

I personally don't think it should be illegal to download/own TV Rips - I mean, they're given out for free on the networks for anybody with a TV (some are cable-only), and are already paid for by advertisers. If anything, it's going to promote a show and may draw more people into it...

Actually I change my opinion a little. Yeah, you're right, it IS given out free. But they do put out DVD/VHS released for some of the shows, and I suppose it's kind of like the anime situation, where fansub distribution is quasi-legal, until a show gets licensed. If you like it enough to download it, like it enough to buy the real releases. I have several sitcoms fully downloaded, and I fully intend to buy the DVD sets when they come out

It's not really free... you kinda pay for it by watching the commericals they have during the shows...

Well if it was illegal.... why wasn't there a debate when VCR can out.... the network really care is how many of us actually watch the show..... to attract advertiser (sp)
