Any good replacement paper exist for Canon's photo paper pro line?

This isn't really a hardware question or anything, but I bought an IP4000. With canon's photo paper pro the pics are great. I've tried cheap kodak (deserved what I got) and HP's best stuff. Both are crap, though HP's less so. It's far cheaper than canon's top stuff (which is pretty pricey), but as it is now I'm resorting to sticking with it because it doesn't let me down. Is there a good generic replacement I'm unaware of?

Good and generic don't go in the same sentence. Have you tried Epson? A heavy stock + proper type of gloss will produce fairly good results
