I need a suggestion. I currently use my gaming console(ps3, ps4, direct tv box , etc) on the monitor in my room's computer monitor and use my computer sound input/ optical in for sound and use a monoprice 4 x 1 to switch between system. I am running out of plug and i might want to add a fifth device in road and my newest item, playstation tv doesn't have a sound output other than hdmi. I look around and found these:

http://www.amazon.com/Tomsenn®-Swit...sr=8-3&keywords=hdmi+switch+with+sound+output

http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters...sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+switch+with+sound+output

http://www.amazon.com/Tomsenn®-Pros...sr=8-5&keywords=hdmi+switch+with+sound+output

It is like I can find 4 x 1 switch with sound output or 5 x 1 switch without no sound output.

Is it possible to have a 4 x 1 switch with sound output and then add another small switch on top of it to have more device?

I would suggest a AVR too, but a 5 port HDMI with audio passthrough could be expensive. Either that or the added expense of speaker. Switch would make economic sense.

Why dont you output sound from all devices through HDMI and the connect the single sound output of the switch to the computer?
