Any good reason to upgrade from AMEX Gold to AMEX Platinum?

Is there any convincing reason why someone should upgrade their AMEX GOLD to an AMEX Platinum? Are there any features of the Platinum card that would justify spending $450 year on the annual fee?

There's no reason to get any card with an annual fee.

I can't think of many credit card features that would justify a $450 annual fee for me... does it come with free hookers from the Emperor's Club?

The only major bump is probably the credit limit. Why are you using a card with any fee?

I have a AMEX plat and its useful for the following reasons
-free domestic companion ticket that ACTUALLY works
-concierge
-airport lounge access

I have Blue from Amex, no annual fee. They're always offering me the Gold card, whats the benefit of Gold?

Yeah the main benefit of the platinum card is for the free domestic companion tickets. If you just fly 2-3 times with a friend, you'd easily make that $395 back.
BTW, the annual fee is $395.
