Just curious if there are any good programs so that when you are downloading something directly from a website and it fails partway through the download you don't have to restart the download? For example if I were downloading a file thats 1.8 gbs from a website and the download fails for whatever reason, the file is lost and I have to restart the download which is pretty annoying.

I am not wanting to download a website, I am wanting to download files from a website and if the net connection dies or whatever I want to be able to resume the download without having to start from the beginning.

It is still a Paid Program $29.95 for the regular & $49.95 for the Pro
which looks like the better choice .. I did not see an Auto Resume
feature listed on the web site

I use Download Accelerator Plus V5 (7 is a bit bloated & has features
I do not need) ... As to FTP & Torrents, I have seperate apps for that

It depends if the server supports mid-file downloading (I believe most do with both http/ftp by now).

There's probably a win32 wget port. wget is an awesome console program for this. -c tells it to continue if broken and also prevents overwrites if executed twice by mistake.

wget -c http://server/file
wget -c ftp://server/file
