Has anyone tried any anti-hairloss products, like Rogaine, Bosley Medical's hair transplantation, etc?
I may need this some time in the future.. ;)

Post any information you have: what worked for you, what didn't, what you heard from friends, etc.

One of my buddies is cheating nature with Propecia. He says it work great and he hasn't been hit with the side effect that requires Viagra. Hey, isn't the point of having hair is so you can score? It would kinda such to have the hair but lose the hangtime.

One major warning is that it can cause miscarriages and birth defects so keep them away from pregnant women.

I don't know if this is still the case but I think that rogaine takes a long time every day, although I hear it does help...

Personally if I start losing my hair I'll just trim it down to a very thin buzz cut. I really don't care about it anymore. My dad is mostly bald. I have no signs of thining (older brother does though), but I just really don't care that much. Hair is a hassel anyway. I'd almost welcome an excuse to shave it down really thin.

Is that an oral medication, windogg? Seems like its not worth the possible health defects!

Why worry about it? I heard most women find it attractive--as it is a sign of masculinity.

Propecia is taken rectally four times a day.

It's oral. From what my friend told me it works very well and chances of side effects are low.

vbboy,
don't opt for a hair transplant. the risks are too great. the damage would cost you more
to undo than the orginal disfiguring surgery, assuming anything can be done. you can go
the chemical route. hairlosshelp has mucho information, as
does hairsite. look into waseda's treatment. it takes some
labor and know-how to piece together yourself but the testimonies from happy folk is
promising.

Just do the comb-over. Chicks dig the comb-over.

Seriously, lose your hair gracefully. Just keep it short.

Removing your testes (and thus the source of the testosterone causing the hair loss) will not only stop, but actually reverse the hair loss. At the expense of your boys of course....;)

In all seriousness, I'd go with the "keep it short" method. Costs the least, has the fewest side effects and most women have no problem with it. Hell, shave your head and see how it looks....just make sure you have some SPF 30 on hand until you get a little sun on your dome. I kinda found that out the hard way when I burned a really interesting pattern on my head thanks to a combo of freshly shorn dome/wearing a visor/playing golf all day.

Ouch.
