I've got this gtx 1080 laptop I have no use for anymore but anandtech is about the online place I've ever sold used parts. Are there any other place's online you can sell high cost used items like laptops and computers or gpu's with relatively low reference's ?

I would say try CL first or if you know someone at a university or working for a big company, try their classified.

Problem with places like eBay and Amazon is that the seller has no rights... I have ethical problem with that, and then the 20%ish you loose after fees and shipping, imho it's not worth it.

I never had any bad experience with CL as a seller or buyer, it's a great place, you just have to use common sense, a lot of it.

For eBay just remember that all forms of payment are now scams :) . Credit card? Stolen. PayPal? Stolen. Check? Bounces. Money Order? Faked or stolen. Cash? Counterfeit. In most cases payment will appear to clear then will be clawed back after you ship. eBay will just say that's too bad.

Also remember that to eBay the buyer is always right. Ship insured for the full value and require a signature. Even then the buyer will probably strip the laptop for parts, return a broken shell, then obtain a full refund.

(At least that's what I gather based on the many eBay seller threads here.)

The For Sale forum here in these forums, as well as other tech forums such as HardForum. I've had good luck in both, as the users are mostly knowledgeable and mostly good people.

Your town/area may also have a reddit 'for sale' sub. You'd be dealing with mostly the same people and issues as using Craigslist, but it's another resource, so might give you a few more eyeballs.
