Any good places to get sushi in irvine?

There's a nice place on Jamboree and Michelson in the Fatburger plaza... forgot what it's called. Tenko on Culver and Michelson is okay.

Cool! I'm trying to find places to eat where I normally wouldn't go since my company is giving me $60.00 per day to eat.

Check out Honda-Ya.
They have excellent sashimi and a full yakitori bar. Plus they are one of the few places that are open relatively late in the area. I definitely recommend the yellow tail cheek/collar.
On the yakitori bar, try the rack of lamb and the steak with fresh shiitake mushrooms. You should be able to burn through your per diem there pretty easily.
Damn, it's making me hungry just thinking about it.

Narano Sushi not a bad place...

You're not in the right neighborhood if you're looking for a good nightlife 😉
The standard place is the Irvine Spectrum (off the 405 and Irvine center drive). It's basically an outdoor mall with bars, shops and lots of places to eat. The "scenery" isn't bad either.
If you go somewhere while it's still light out, it would be worth checking out Main St. in Huntington Beach (again, bars and scenery).
Other than that, there's not a whole lot going on and most places close at 9 or 10.

I've been to Mahi Mahi's on E Chapman Ave in Orange and it was very tasty. That place is packed on weekends though.

Not sure how close it is to you but if it's not too far I'd give it a try.

I go there for lunch at least once a week after work...=P

Thing about Irvine is that everything stops working at 9pm. So I guess the cool thing to do would be to go to the Spectrum and watch a movie or something.
