any good pizza places in Los Angeles?

any real pizza places that has NY style pizza...ive tried a couple in the santa monica area that advertise NY style pizza but they all suck...i miss good pizza

There's a Lorenzo's Pizza on San Vicente Blvd. near the VA in Brentwood.. it's across the street from the Cheesecake Factory. 11678 San Vicente.
Awesome NY style pizza - ultra crispy on the bottom. They have fantastic thick Sicilian pizza too.

There's another NY pizza place in Westwood Village on Westwood Blvd, as well as a BJ's (Chicago pan pizza) in that area too.

lorenzo's used to be a lamonica's, which is the one thats in westwood
so they're basically both the same

bj's pizza is my fav, but pricey

I like Pizzarito in Marina del Rey. There's also Don Antonio's in Westwood, but I never thought they were that good, I liked Lamonica's better.

There's this one place on Santa Monica Blvd. a fair bit east of Sepulveda, It's something "and Johnny's" or it's just "johnnies" had it a couple of times, it was good, but it was expensive, and they didn't deliver to westwood, so we made the girls that would buy it go get it too, great setup

BJs pizza is pretty good. They say they're Chicago style pizza, but since I've never been to Chicago I couldn't verify this.

Btw, if you're ever in Vegas, the best pizza place ever is this place called Mama Illardos at the MGM Grand.

i never had NY pizza but i like this one place called The Pizza Cookery. there is one located in chatsworth. do a search for it... it's pretty good.

Same here, it's very good NY Style pizza. There is also a Pizzarito at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

I don't know about NY style pizza being any good in LA but try Buca di Beppo. They have very good pizzas there. If you're in the San Gabriel Valley then Petrillos isn't too bad either.

Interesting. You must have tastes contrary to many people then. You do know that Zagat ratings are compiled using hundreds of normal people as volunteers who send in reviews right?
