Any good optimization utilites for Laptops ?

Hey Guys
I have a HP Laptop DV6406NR - AMD Athlong 64 X2 - 1GB DDR2 Ram.
I use NHC and other utils like spybot and Ad-aware. I usually run defrag and disk cleanup everyday to make my system uncluttered. NHC recently has not been working well on my laptop, and i wanted to know if anyone has used any other software that has been effective

apparently NHC cant change the CPU speed anymore...which is odd

It has to do with Intel's newer processors. They handle power management very well on their own anyway.

You could always try something like RMClock.

i have a AMD Athlon 64 x2...it did it before...and now it wont

Have you tried an older version of NHC?

IMHO, you don't need any of that stuff. Laptops run very well as they are.

my laptop sucks on battery like crazy when i dont use that program !
