I'm looking for a case that I can trust and it isn't some ugly yellow box, it's going in the living room of a friend he doesn't tolerate bad design.

It's thicker to compensate but still works out lighter than a steel case. The brushed bare metal finish is another appeal.

aluminum is stronger and lighter than steel ex: alloy wheels in cars
and the benefits of the aluminum " the whole acts a big heatsink for your internal hard drives" also these case are design for maximum air flow "fans are mount right in front of internal hard drive so the air blows right on all the internal hd" and the quality of these cases are first class

Hot digity, it looks very nice. Very high tech in my opinion.

Only, it's a little out of the price range. 300 dollars for a case!! No way!!!

I'm probably going to buy the Antec 1030b(the black one)
only 91 bucks at onvia.com for a full tower. Too bad they're sold out. It looks good too!

Remember that with the aluminum cases with cute anondized colours, your drive fronts, floppy, and IomegaZIP might not match. That is another reason why some people are going to the Antec 1030/1030B cases; they have a colour-coordinated door that covers up the mismatching drive fronts...

So, people who buy that aluminum netcase from Hong Kong because it has a VCR-like look should realize that they have to re-colour their drive front as close as possible. No problem for black, but the light lavender case will be hard to match.

For the people who wants to know where to get their stuff... Why not have a visit to Pricewatch.com?
They have good database and returns pretty good prices from different vendors...

Steel is stronger than aluminum, but aluminum is much lighter. Thats why they use alloy wheels on cars, and aluminum frames on bikes. Thats why aluminum-framed bikes have so much larger bars.
