I really like reading books about the Illuminati. I know it does not exsist, but I think it is a cool concept. Does anybody know of any good (clean) Illumuinati based books?

Dude, you want some hardcore starting points for what your looking for ....look there.....welcome to Chaos and Beyond, Quantum Psychology...all things lluminati etc. Try the Illuminatus Trilogy, it's older but a classic in this genre.

It will branch off into Khabalisism, Occult, "magic" a la Aleister Crowley style, and Experimental Psychology.....of course it also talks about the New World Order, Knights Templar and all that.

Understand though it is all inherantly conspiracy based...it's it's nature, so be prepared for that.

If you want mainstream stuff look somewhere else, but these are the "Grand-Daddy's" of the field.

Also If you want to just generally blow your mind, check out books by Douglas R. Hofstadter i.e Godel,Escher,Bach...or...Metamagical Themas....nothing to do w/ Illuminati but some damn cool stuff.

Other Fav's of mine are Chaos Theory, and Quantum based literature along w/ literary classics especially 18th+19th century Russian, and German novels. Not ot mention the "drug culture" classics i.e Aldous Huxley, William S. Burrough, the wacky Tim Leary, Carlos Casteneda and his flavor of writing..oh can't forget the masterful wordplay of James Joyce, Franz Kafka......

Anyway that's going off on a diff. tangent unrelated to what you were after..

Your question just triggered memories of my youth, and the books I read.
