srry I should have been a little more specific...
I'm looking for something within walking distance of community boating on the charles
newbury st is a little far on foot
could you help me out there?
Don't know any names of places on Charles St but it's the main st in Beacon Hill with a number of cafes and stuff. You could also walk over the Longfellow bridge and there's a Baskin Robbins there across from Kendall Sq.
If you feel like making a little trip out of Boston to Middleton, MA you could get the best ice cream in New England (Richardsons) and play a little mini golf while there too.
JP Licks > Ben & Jerry's in my opinion. Also, Emack and Bolio's is good. All 3 are on newbury street. If you start walking from Hynes convention center T stop (the old virgin megastore -- soon to be bestbuy), you hit JP Licks immediately, then starbucks, then Trident (half block further). A couple blocks later, you will find Emack and Ben&Jerry's...
Hehe I did community boating for a couple summers when I was younger, it can be pretty fun as long as the wind doesn't completely die which it has a habit of doing
