Microsoft Sound Recorder, IIRC, has a maximum 60 second record length without jumping through some hoops. Any apps that fit the bill? I'd like to capture CD-quality audio, which shouldn't be too hard, no?

I'll be using an SB Live, so hopefully it should be pretty decent.

Hi, You are correct about Sound Recorder. You can do tricks to extend the time, but they aren't worth the trouble. It will Edit larger files. Use WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER util you get a better audio program. Most all of the MEDIA RACKS should do the job. Be sure to get the correct Mike. Good Luck, Jim

Audicity is the way to go. If you do much with audio at all it is one of the best pieces of software you can have. You can't beat the price either.
