Any good FPS's on the horizon?

I almost fired up SOF2 this weekend. Was going through old cd's and found my discs for the game. I remembered really liking this game.... I'm afraid if I play it now it will ruin my memories.

Yeah I have that as well and tried it again a couple years back and well...i wondered how I played something like that.

well, its a different thing from your typical fps. i've been playing it for a week now, and yeah its not exactly "competitive", but its ok to pass the time. leveling is slow, you need to gear up much like WOW, a piece at the time, and with gear of increasing rarity. there's missions which give you rewards which become progressively harder, lots of camping, lots of one-sided games and spawn camping is almost a rule.

maps look gorgeous imho but there's only like six of them. hopefully it will get better later on (open world is comping at some point, apparently).

Maps look gorgeous? Something is either wrong with my settings or your eyes, it looks awful to me. LOL

Im gonna go take another look now.
 
I have everything set to ultra and it still looks terrible. IMO it looks worse than the earlier STALKER games before any mods. I know its a beta but the game needs a lot of work, the character movements feel really floaty and the sound is atrocious.
