Any good fantasy books? (other than LOTR that is)

Another older classic is the "Sword of Shannara" series......

Thomas Convenant series is also really good......
 
I read a few threads like this in different forums and I've seen a lot of recommendations for "Song of Ice and Fire" and the Thomas Covenant Chronicles. I'm on the second book of Thomas Covenant right now. I really like the writting, the characters are great, but there's not that much going on yet. My favorite series of all time is still Weiss and Hickman's Dragonlance Chronicles because it was such a fun series.

Ah yes, I'm yet another fan of that series...
I also liked RA Salvatore's Drizzt books... I've never read Narnia, but all my friends that read it loved it.
