Hi,

With TV tuner card, sound card, 2 SLI video cards and my planned for Gigabyte I-ram which takes a pci slot.. I am quickly running out of room

I like the new AM2 boards.. from Gigabyte etc.. and I like the old 939 from ASUS etc..

but.. I am running out of room so

Any suggestions on larger motherboards with more room to work with?

I am not sure if going extended atx will help much, was hoping maybe a board had better sound, ellimating need for sound card, other features to elliminate other needs..

etc..

still only so much room so was hoping for a board that rocks in the $200-300 range.

extended atx does not mean more pci slots in some cases you will get just one pci slot or two it depends.
look heres a SUPERMICRO MBD-X5DPA-TGM -O Dual Socket mPGA604 Intel E7501 ATX Server Motherboard for intel Xeon PCI Slots=5 it's a standard atx board.

Heres a SUPERMICRO H8DCE-O Extended ATX Server Motherboard Dual Socket 940.PCI Slots=3.

Heres some 939boards standard atx.
ASUS A8V ATX AMD Motherboard PCI Slots=5
MSI K8N Neo4-F ATX AMD Motherboard PCI Slots=4
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum ATX AMD Motherboard PCI Slots=4

What you need to do is decide what your machine is going to be used for this is the only you will know if you need more slots or less slots. hope this helps

Thanks,

I will take a look... I was looking at the new AM2 and Conroe boards when i noticed pci getting cut back a little.

Will keep looking, especially from amongst board makers you have identified.
