Looking for orthodontist in particular.

Ah! I was just taking care of dentist recommendation!

I am not in LA (just another region of CA), so I cannot make a recommendation for that area.

However, I visit 1-800-Dentist for help. They use a screening process to list dentists of different specialties.

Another thing to consider is check their licences here: Dental Licence Lookup to see if any disciplinary action was taken or that their licences are current and active.
 
What's your insurance plan? They should give you a list of available dentists... I have a pretty good one in Culver City, if you'd like his info.
 
I have Blue Shield PPO which allows me to see any dentist but I'll pay less if they are in the Blue Shield network.
