Hey all,

Did they make any decent demolition derby type games for the PS2? The game i would like to find doesn't have to take place in a derby, it just has to have some good car-smashing action that gives real damage to the cars. I am not interested in a weapons based (Twisted Metal) or Super Mario Cart type game. Well, not for this thread at least.

thanks

the game noobed pwns. It's a terrible video. Parts flew everywhere, you can do 1 hit kills if you hit the right spots (t-bone, death from above, etc) it ran at 60fps and had a pumpin techno soundtrack!

just get motor storm for the ps3.

I was going to say the same thing. The title and OP both say PS2 but there's something in his feeble mind that doesn't comprehend anything like that.

Try Flatout 2. It actually has the demolition derby mode you're looking for.

So for Flatout 2 did you guys find that Gamespot;'s critcims were accurate? They said that there was little to no difference between car types among other things

Burnout has Crash Mode, which isnt really demolition derby, but is super awesome fun. I think that may have started in Burnout 2 though.

Basically the higher the class of car, the faster it goes.

Despite the lack of performance differences in same-classed cars, I still thought the game was a blast. Buying upgrades to make your car faster, stronger and have more boost makes doing well in races worth while.

they handle differently, the speed is noticable, and the lil shitty Ford Festiva looking car gets destroyed so fast. I don't see how anyone could win the Derby with that POS.
