Any good deathmatch games out currently??

Been playing a few new games since my build in December. Played BF3 both single and multi player and didn't really get hooked on either. Been playing CSS a bit again, tonight I played in a "deathmatch" server and loved it. I enjoy playing high speed deathmatch games quite a bit but don't know about any good ones out there. Back in the day I played quite a bit of Quake 3, Unreal Tournament and a few others. Is there anything comparable now?

Oh, and I've been playing Left 4 Dead 2 which I enjoyed quite a bit but mainly just the online campaign. I really need to try some of the different play modes.

Best bet might be to play UT 2004's Onslaught game. It's not Deathmatch, but it's probably the best thing you'll find for FPS fragging right now (where a server packs to 32 people each night).

Has everyone tired from fragging madness so companies aren't making anymore games?? I remember loving Quake 3 and UT. Pity with today's graphics they could make a fragging masterpiece.

Instead of pure FFA, how about TDM or a variant? I've been having fun lately in MW3 playing modes like Kill Confirmed, which is TDM with dog tags you have to pick up. It is very twitch shooter-like, at least for me.

I loved Quake3 (still play Quake live occasionally) UT, CoD4, now Im hooked on BF3's TDM. Started playing it mainly to collect weapon dog tags but it has quickly become my favorite BF3 game mode.

Assuming he meant an arena style shooter when he said deathmatch (as most people do), CoD is a far far far cry from that style of gameplay.

I don't think it's that young males are no longer young males who would enjoy an online multiplayer cyber-bloodsport. It's just that ID pretty much abandoned the online multiplayer market after Quake III for some reason and Epic Games laid huge goose eggs with it sequels to the original UT99. UT3, for example, was a stillborn abortion of a game that was completely unworthy of the UT name.

If only they had released a bona-fide UT99-2 that included the UT 2004 game types and vehicles but with UT99 game play and user interface, it might have been a different story.

the so called "prem" package lets you play premium maps, and also lets you in to the games without watching the 30 sec ads - since there is a cue system, having to wait 30-40 seconds to join a game often results in the game being full by the time you join.

also you get to join clans, have avatars on the forum, ppl listen to you more, you get support, and ePeen.

however do start with F2P, until you get the feel.

Its sad that QuakeLive is even being recommended. I mean dont get me wrong, I loved the game and played Quake 1 religiously (4v4 DM3 FTW), and I played Quake 3 for awhile, but its what a 12 year old game now? I wish there was a fun new TDM game to play
