Any Good Deal on Computer Case and CPU

Hi:

Just wonder if anyone know of any good deal on a PSU with 400W or above power?

Also I am looking for a nice looking case, possibly to install some LED fans, just wonder if there's any good deal. I don't mind to pay a little more for both products, just would like them to have good quality runs my system cool and quiet. Thanks.

Irene

Newegg refurbs seem to be great. (Although I havent bought one yet
but will when I need another case)

Ever wonder why these forums aren't FILLED with inumerable requests for specific hot deals??? The reason is that its AGAINST THE RULES to post threads like this not in the IWANNA thread. I suggest you delete his post before a mod bans you and post in the IWANNA thread this request.

In general however for cases shipping is a killer so local case deals or deals from places with free shipping are what you should look for.

Lighten up... Honest mistake... Probably overlooked that when reading the rules.... Or didn't read the rules... but whatever... just lighten up...

Newegg is a good place to look. On the main page they have a 480W Thermaltake PS for under $60.

As for cases, its pretty subjective as to what cool is. Everytime I think I find a cool case someone always says it looks like arse.

Actually, I think that the new Antec LSK2650-BQE case is cool er. I mean hot.

- Specifications -

Case Type: Mid Tower
Color: Black
Material: Steel
Drive Bays: 5.25" x 4, 3.5" x 2/2 (external/internal)
Expansion Slots: 7
Front Ports: USB2.0 x 2
Power Supply: Antec SL350S 350W
Cooling System: 1 x 120mm rear
Motherboard Compatibility: up to Standard ATX
Dimensions: 16.5"(H) x 8.25"(W) x 16.5"(D)
Special Features: Chassis Air Guide (on side panel)

Model#: SLK2650-BQE
Item#: N82E16811129148

The above specs are from Newegg, however, I just bought one at CrapUSA last week for $79 (tax incl.).

The P/S & 120mm case fan are so quiet that I had to look at the lights to see if it was on. I simply couldn't hear it. That and a Zalman 7000 for the cpu and this is now my new standard.

random post to raise my "ohsohighicareaboutmypostcountsomuchthatiwillpostineverysinglethreadienter" count.

right....

hey but for actual information tho, i highly suggest you buy b&m because shippin kills for cases... sometimes you'll get lucky tho. i remember there was a deal on lian li case for only 99 bucks shipped, dunno where tho.. ill try to find it

Nothing from Newegg is a HOT deal, they are every day deals the same way all the time. What we need is a whole other forum for Newegg, that way the rest of us actually looking for hotdeals can get them without having to wade through threads like this.

Here's one I like. It has a side and top window, side bubble tubes, comes in black or silver. and has a temperature display. Also available from CPUSoultions.com. I ordered one from Mr. Tech because you can upgrade the power supply from the 420 or 450 that are ordinarily configured with the case. I should be receiving it Thursday or Friday. Hopefully the inside edges will be rounded off. I was just looking for something cheap, black and cool looking for a new build. Also found an ad at Pricewatch for this case from Mr. Tech so I was able to get shipping for $4.99. Mr.Tech didn't really have great reseller ratings but they took my money and are shipping me something. They are a small Yahoo store. It's a Broadway case so you can search for Broadway at PriceWatch.com and find the ad. I just copied the ad into the comments section of the order and the shipping was adjusted to $4.99 as per the ad. Will post back after I get it. This case is very similar to the Aspire case at NewEgg.

The front LCD display is kinda cool, but the glitter/neon things on the side give it a...I dunno...Studio 54 look. IMHO of course. 🙂

Cases have gotten like cars. There's something for everyone. Unfortunately you can do a lot of browsing to find ones that you like. Studio 54 look- That's funny. I can't wait to get it cranked up; guess I'll have find some Travolta shoes or something.

A good place for free shipping on cases is Amamax. I've gotten cases from them before, with no problem, shipped ups.

I would suggest that if you live across country, you consider the extra $3 charge for double boxing, as a 5 to 7 day ups trip can cause dents and dings on a single boxed case. Good luck! 🙂

Alright........let's lock it up!! LOL

I found my next case

Now that is cool...probably help you out with the ladies too. Seriously...how many girls you know wouldn't get a giggle out of that?"

Arrfff, Arrff, bring the slippers baby.

I've bought from Amamax and had no problems. Picked up a cheap X-Case windowed job for $17 shipped. Bought 2 of them.

Saving money is what makes a deal HOT, not the fact that it is a limited one-time thing. You can have a HOT deal that is an everyday price, if an item is a good % less or substantially less because of free shipping and or no tax than elsewhere whats it matter if its an everyday price or a one-time sale. And the reason everybody thinks Newegg is HOT, is because their customer service is better than anybody else out there. And yes Newegg does have HOT deals besides their everyday prices, like the Abit/Chaintech 2800+ 64-bit combos, while they did not compare to the 3200+ deal they were HOT. Maybe you should spend your time looking for hotdeals instead of wasting your words on this thread, and relax a little to the people who are actually trying to be helpful to others.

Anyways as others have said both Amamax and Newegg are good places to shop for cases/powersupplies, or if you have decided on a certain model, just check pricewatch or pricegrabber. Also see below for a limited review of some current case offerings and their features and below that a review of several powersupplies.
