I'm looking for some good Data backup software, and maybe a good diagnostics tool.

Basically I'm running a small Computer Build/Repair business out of my home right now, for neighbors, friends, and family. Some of them need data backed up off of thier old hard drives(after being thoroughly cleaned). A few just need some diagnostics test run.

I'm also looking for some help on how to setup an effective work bench.

1) What supplies?
2) How large of a space?
3) Tools
4) Software

So, far I have:

Work bench about 3-1/2'x1-1/2'
Tech tool kit
DVD,CD/RW,Floppy,(newer board), PSU, Antistatic work zone w/ground, key board, mouse, moniter

forceps for jumpers work nicely

built in a drunkin whiskey binge with 2 Army buddies
its a work of art :D

few different linux live cd's, few different install disks for popular distros

fixed. Anyone not using linux for troubleshooting/repair is like throwing your ratchet out of the toolbox before working on the car.

did i mention a internet hookup near your workbench?
4 port switch hooked to a router works great and its cheap
plus you can work on multiple comps at the same time

a phone line also for those few customers with dial-up
