Looking for maybe FPS/Strat.

I just built the new c2d rig, and this 7900gt is so lonely.

Freecell!! much better than an FPS and your system can run it too!!

:D

Few weeks Stalker is out. That should be worth it. Until then:FEAR, Red Orchestra Ostfront, HL2, Prey, BF2, many more are good.

I'd recommend Supreme Commander. It's definitely strategy oriented and plays along the same lines as Total Annihilation. It's pretty hard, even on normal, I'm only into the second mission right now.

FEAR and expansion
HL2 and expansion
Quake 4
Doom 3 and expansion
Sin Episode 1
Riddick Directors Cut
Farcry
Deus X Invisible War

Not traditional FPS's but Similiar:

Ultimate Spiderman
Armed & Dangerous
Fable The Lost Chapters

To name a few. For me FEAR was the most fun and interesting in the FPS genre but they all are pretty good.

soon there will be Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. Right now there is Rainbow Six: Vegas. Both are tactical shooters with great graphics and gameplay.

I would say Supreme Commander and Medieval 2: Total War for RTSes. Also, the C&C 3 demo just came out.

For FPS, try America's Army.

Similar to CS, but with better graphics and more realistic gameplay (ie the sniper scopes and iron sights actually bob around to simulate breathing).

Free too (as in FREE BEER). Developed by the US Army to give civilians (an "inside look at the army" *cough* recruiting tool *cough**). Still a great FPS though. A lot of the members are actually members of the military as well.

Over 8,000,000 users at time of posting.

It's currently based on the Unreal Engine, but their currently developing version 3.0 (currently at 2.8) and it's gonna be completely redone.

2.8 gig download though.
