I'm not talking about made in china iphones, craftsman tools or whatever. Is there a chinese brand or company that makes a product that is considered quality?

The only product that comes to my mind that I actually own thats high quality and from a chinese brand is a Yuin PK-1 earbud style headphones. They seem to be their own company, they sound great and are not a knockoff brand or outsourced to china from another company.

Fenix flashlights.

Especially if you stick with their simpler offerings (without the multiple switches, complicated UI's, disco modes etc.), that are more throwbacks to their older stuff but with more efficient emitter technology.

Note though. The original recipe is German.

Most of my positive experiences with Chinese stuff is Harbor Freight tools. Which have 'brands,' but they're all pretty much 'generic HF.' Which, in some cases, also seems to be 'OEM Home Depot/Lowes.' Uncertain if the HF suppliers actually make stuff for 'name brands' or if similar designs are just coincidence. (edit: or just unabashed obvious copying)

Ironically, the simplest stuff is their worst. Ratchets, sockets, bits, ect. Largely stems from bad quality steel, and general imprecision and lack of attention to detail.

But a lot of their shit is great for the price. And that pretty much sums up Chinese goods: great for the price. Not great if you need precise stuff. Hence the lack of known brands...it's unlikely that a Chinese brand is going to step up as a competitor to Snap-On /Matco/et al. But as a supplier of 'hard to mess this up' tools and supplies, hooray China.

China makes a lot of good products. Unfortunately big corps/companies force them to skim shit out and make it cheesy.

It's what American consumer wants......dirt cheap.

In most cases, savings are not enough to offset the quality and products is temporary.

Biggest savings are on the Company end.....

TCL for electronics such as TV ? What about Huawei and ZTE for network/telecom equipments?

I hear about them but haven't own any of those brands.

There used to be an online store based out of Shenzen that sold "quality" iPod knockoffs for really cheap, but it looks like they don't exist anymore.

Madeinchina.com looks to have a lot of ridiculously cheap electronics ($50 Android tablets) but too many negative reviews of their site make me hesitate to order from them.

Oppo is the only one I can think of. They are Chinese and the products are considered high quality.

Nothing in China was of quality. Textiles come close. Even then it's a gamble since somehow the Chinese have managed to create self destructing textiles. Unbelievable how shitty it is.

You buy Chinese because it's cheap and disposable.
