Any Good Camera Lenses out there?

Im looking for a GREAT camera lens WITH zoom and great quality i already have a 50MM f/1.8 but it doesnt have any zoom, can you guys find me one with zoom??

im sorry its just that i dont know anything about cameras.

Edit: I have a nikon D50 i dont want to sacrifice image quality for zoom

hmm, i would have recommended something for you, if you had a canon. well, IF you had a canon rebel XT, XTi, 20D or 30D, i might recommend a 17-55mm f/2.8 IS, or if you want a medium telephoto, a 70-200mm f/4 (im looking to get this one eventually with IS).

some information on what you might want would be useful...do you want a wide angle lens or telephoto? price range? you gotta give some details if you want a decent response.

um i need something around 200 that has pretty good zoom about 100-200MM and it has to take really good pictures at night and day, if you can links please

100-200mm and low light performance = $$$$ You're looking at $750 for a Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8 EX DG HSM

Bottom line: taking really good pictures at night, especially at longer focal lengths involves spending way more than $200

The bet consumer lens in this focal range at that price point is the Sigma 70-300mm APO. You can buy mine b/c i'm switching to Nikon :)
