Any good books/websites on getting ahead at work?

I was reading an interesting book at the book store about how to get ahead at work the other day and it had some really good tips but now i forgot the name of the book *bangs head against the wall*

Anyone have some good suggestions? There's this guy at work who recently became a manager after 20 years working there and i hear that's kind of typical where i work. I don't want to end up like that guy.
