New, fast, high capacity drives in ATA-6 (PATA) are becoming rare. All the new laptops use SATA.

Don't be too wedded to Newegg. For laptop drives, I have always found more selection and value on Zip=-Zoom-Fly.

All the 5400s I get in the dell laptops end up dying in 2 years or so and I normally replace them with the Seagate Momentus 7200 PATAs, never had a problem with one of those so far.

We ordered them straight from Dell, I think it was around 90 bucks for a 80gb. I ordered 20 of them so they might be low on stock :)
