Any good alternative to Google?

maybe I'm getting too lazy with my search terms.

It just seems that it used to be smarter or more accurate in the past.
 
Google has gone way downhill now. In November of 2003 they changed their algorithm and the major competitive search terms lost about 90% of their relevency. They just updated their algorthm again last weekend that is more across the board for all search terms and now it seems that everything is affected. Google sucks now. I've been using Alta Vista again since late November. Almost as good as Google used to be. Or there's All The Web which is close to Alta Vista. Both are better than Google now.

Yahoo is powered by google. Google seems to work great for me.

yes, i think it even has a little icon somwhere...... but that whole thing of google keeping ur usage statistics scares me off

this is going to change soon, right? I think yahoo is planning on going it alone in the future.
