I need a second battery for a Canon Rebel but hate the idea of paying $45 for another one. (The battery is an NB-2LH.) I've tried Sterlingtek and CTA in the past, but they both proved to be a waste of money. Are there any good 3rd party batteries?
I've used Power2000 batteries in my Pentax K20D for the past few years with great results. The batteries are 1700 mAh compared to the Pentax standard 1620 mAh.
Adorama has the Power2000 NB-2LH for $20. Looks like it is also more powerful than the standard rebel battery (900 mAh vs 720 mAh) : http://www.adorama.com/PQACD239.html
