Any geniuses out there know how to get Free HBO??

I remember in my old place the cable guy did it for me for 20 bux, then i had free HBO forever.. Does anyone else know how to do this. I only vaguely remem what he did
 
if your cable system is digital then you SOL if its analog still you can get it using a scrambler but they aren't extactly legal
 
SOL = S**t Outta Luck

This doesn't exactly strike me as something that's Highly Technical. Doesn't seem all so legal either.
