Any Gen 9 Honda accord owners out there

I just picked myself up an Accord '09. Anyone have any Gen 9 accords? How is your mileage and what kind of experience do you have with that car?

2010 EX-L with the 4 cylinder. 23-25 in town, 30-31 @ 80MPH on the interstate.

No issues at all with ~16K miles.

Yup, gen 8 is for model years 2008 and up.

I have a 2008 EX-L V6 sedan with navi. 41,000 miles on it, no problems. I average 25.5MPG overall. I reset trip A every oil change and trip B every gas fill. Trip A has come to 25.4 - 25.6MPG every oil change.

If I baby it like I did when gas was over $4/gallon I can get 29MPG. And that is tank to tank, not just highway mileage. My trip computer shows 40MPG cruising at 70 on the highway. VCM beats that weak 4 cylinder 😛

If the V6 didn't have a timing belt I would have considered it.

I will never own another vehicle with a timing belt.

Original owner of a 2008 4cylinder sedan. Happy owner. No problems, mostly always city get 23-24 consistently. Just got the official notice on 2 recalls. The first I read about, is a software fix to stop you from damaging the transmission, specifically a bearing, that can happen when rocking the car from being stuck in snow. And the 2nd, another software fix, for fuel injection/timing curve to get better gas mileage. Maybe what I need to pick up those couple mpg, I always felt I'm missing.
My brother can get better gas mileage in a 2006 Camry V6, which is slightly puzzling. I understand all the compromises between gearing, tuning for acceptable performance and mpg. To bad, the initial cha-ching for the V6 is so much.

Gotcha on the Gen8, looks like Im ahead of myself haha, thanks

Oh the 4 cylinder sedan is chain driven?

Any benefit to using premium gas in this?

Think I can get atleast 30 highway on this?

EDIT nvm got my cars mixed up

But anyway, use the recommended fuel grade in the manual. If it calls for regular, you will see no improvement going to premium. In fact you may get lower mpg with higher octane fuel if it isn't designed for it. Just going from regular gas to plus gas on my previous car would make it drop 1-2 mpg for that tank. So really, putting premium in can hit you in the wallet twice.
