Any Gateway Desktop Owners?

For anyone who owns a Gateway desktop, do you have any qualms with it? Has their customer service burned you? Would you reccomend a Gateway to your friends? Have any of the parts turned out to be defective?

I'd like to know a little about how the owners of these computers feel. Who better to hear from then actual users?

Well there's old gateway and new gateway
I have a gateway full tower so it's not a desktop
intel 133 upgraded to 166 which is the max for the motherboard
128 mb edo simms
now has 3 7200 rpm drives
etc
support has always been good
it's application does not require great power

second gateway is minitower from E-Machines
only came with xp oem not full version
spend the $20 and get the full version
added some momory but is otherwise origional no problems

problem now is that no AMD
running ms office and AMD provides more bang for whatever buck for office applications
or for a given performance level an amd based bmachine is less expensive than an intel

Gateway can have some good sales
regular price I can build my own better
better price performance than DELL
support policies may have changed so check that out

I have a Gateway desktop of last years model and I am so satified with it. I haven't had any problems with it at all and I have even added to it. I have only called tech support 1 time fo a small issue and they were so helpful in what I needed. With what I have added, I haven't run into any issues to even hinder my pc. So yes I would recommend a Gateway to my friends and family if they were looking for a reliable pc with great tech support. Here are my specs on my pc.....

80 gig Ata hd (added)
1024 3200 ddr memory (512 added)
Nvidia GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256 mb
12x Dvd
12x40x24 DVD RW+ RW-

roomate had one a couple of years back. no problem with it. but dell's are cheaper when they're on sale i think.
